A Night in Palmira plate by IVV is part of the beautiful collection of plates, centerpieces, cake stands and trays in which different styles and influences contaminate each other.
The theme of fruit, typically Mediterranean, mixes with gold decoration, expression of a near and far East. The red and green decoration, on the other hand, introduces the Mediterranean again, as perceived in the creations of certain Italian fashion designers. The glass is pressed, the decorations hand-given with a brush.
The title of this collection plays with the dream, a night spent in Palmira, the mythical city of the Middle East, capital of a kingdom that was a crossroads of different cultures, ancient Rome and its empire on one side, and the Arab world on the other.
