SALADINI
The ancient medieval town of Scarperia was founded by the Republic of Florence on 8 September 1306. Today, it is known as the “town of knives” around the world. This tradition dates back to the 15th century, when the first “Master Knifemakers” published their “Statutes”, which even back then aimed to safeguard and organise the production process and trade of knifes. The first traces of the Saladini knifemakers date back to the mid-19th century, when the Saladini family were crafting knives as Master Knifemakers. Since then, generations of knifemakers have followed in their footsteps and still today they continue to create their products with the same passion and traditions handed down through time. This heritage is clear to see in the styles of their forged knives, their choice of high-quality materials, their attention and care to every detail, and their continuous innovation and research, which has allowed the company to evolve while always looking towards the future. By combining their inherent knowledge with their taste for design and awareness of modern market needs, Saladini has been able to expand their entirely handcrafted production with a full range of offers. Alongside their series of traditional knives, there is also a wide range of table and kitchen knives, table accessories, cutlery, right up to corkscrews and cigar cutters.
