Mammaroma Blanket by Lanificio Leo is a plaid-tapestry in jacquard knit with a piqué weaving technique.
Mammaroma was born from the need to tell a different story, to create a 'narrant' object. The story told is inspired by Mamma Roma, a 1962 film written and directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini and interpreted by Anna Magnani, immortalized in the moment of her liberating scream expressing a desperate desire for change.
The intent is to break the void of form with unexpected signs and visual values to look beyond, to find unsettling aesthetic balances.

Lanificio Leo is the oldest textile factory in Calabria.
